Global Brand Alliance Institute (GBA Institute), formerly Look Better Institute, is a Transformative Socio-Economic Innovative Enterprise (TSIE) focused on building the brand image of African Tech Startups and small businesses based in marginalised regions mainly in the township and rural environments for the purpose of scaling up their access to both capital investment and sustainable clients. We also focus on local business education as a cornerstone of our transformative approach.
Background
The Growth Operating Space (GOS) of black-owned African Tech Startups and other small businesses mainly in the township and rural areas continue to be negatively affected by the dominance of multinational brands and GBA Institute recognises that it remains increasingly difficult for these businesses to compete on the market without proper branding. Transitioning of small businesses to a better professional image and improved operational processes is paramount to their growth and sustainability.
With a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by African Tech Startups and small enterprises operating in township and rural environments, GBA Institute has identified two of the key factors that can significantly impact their growth and sustainability: Professional Branding and Marketing Support and Local Business Education. We firmly believe that transitioning these businesses to a more professional image and investing in business education tailored to the unique features of the African business landscape are pivotal steps to creating a pathway to success.
"At GBA Institute, our mission is to ignite possibilities for small businesses in South Africa, scaling up their access to both capital investment and sustainable clients hence fueling their growth and empowering them to thrive in the competitive marketplace. As a nationwide-wide Transformative Socio-Economic Innovative Enterprise (TSIE), we are dedicated to strategically build the brand image of African Tech Startups and small businesses located in marginalised regions, particularly in township and rural environments through innovative delivery processes that are efficient and less time consuming. Our mission extends beyond these parameters and we have a focus on local business education as a cornerstone of our transformative approach."
